Besides Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2018 being a spectacular experience for industry professionals and general attendees alike, AV freelancers should attend because it’s a great opportunity. Especially for the up-and-coming technician, the tradeshow is a great way to immerse oneself in the innovative and enterprising culture of the industry.

Give Us Your Feedback

ISE 2018 is bound to be bigger and bolder than ever, with last year’s attendance having ballooned to almost 1,200 exhibitors and over 73,000 visitors. The tradeshow continues to be one of the best places for AV freelancers to make a name for themselves. If you want more specific reasons for how ISE 2018 could be the launchpad for your career in the AV industry, read on.

World-Class Influence

The most straightforward reason to attend ISE 2018 is because this tradeshow has industry influence in spades. The tradeshow was created by Integrated Systems Events LLC, which is an organization comprised of two global leading industry associations: AVIXA (formerly InfoComm) and CEDIA.

Between those two major associations, which represent the international AV industry for practically every major market you can think of, ISE LLC knows how to target its audience. To illustrate, ISE 2017’s exhibitors represented world-leading AV equipment and service companies for digital signage, unified communications, audio, smart building, residential and education sectors.

ISE may be ISE LLC’s largest tradeshow, but it’s also only one of the several AV conferences ISE LLC organizes throughout the year. The organization is also known for its Digital Signage Summits, which are hosted around the world, and the Smart Building Conference. AV freelancers would be smart to make ISE 2018 their first attended tradeshow because it will be a hotspot for nearly every influencer in the industry.

Make Your Mark

If you’re not just attending ISE 2018 to get your feet wet in the AV industry, but are looking to connect with potential clients and partners, this tradeshow’s the place to be. Not only are there thousands of buyers and fellow technicians you can network with on the floor, there’s also a ton of press that might take an interest in the promotion of your brand. Last year, 630 press were in attendance! Talk about major opportunities to get your name out there.

ISE also has a dedicated Discovery Zone on its floorplan at the RAI Amsterdam Exhibition and Convention Centre. This Discovery Zone is a showcase for debuting companies in the industry and features a package that can set you up with an attractive yet cost-effective stand in the hall. Setting up in the Discovery Zone is an easy and streamlined way to promote interaction with key decision-makers in the industry.

AV Junction, in fact, is among the debuting companies taking their place in the Discovery Zone this year (booth 15-G238). Come drop by and say hi if you’re attending ISE 2018.

Keep up with the Industry’s Latest Developments

Last but certainly not least, AV freelancers should attend ISE 2018 so they can stay sharp concerning the industry’s latest developments. As the world’s largest AV tradeshow, ISE has its pulse on what trends have the most pull for each year it runs. Even if you aren’t attending solely for the purpose of getting your name out there, you should attend for the key insights.

As mentioned above, ISE LLC’s influence is staggering, and its roundup of industry speakers is a perfect example of the sheer diversity of professionals attending the tradeshow. Past speakers include innovators such as President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Daniel Lamarre, Futurist, Scientist, and TV Personality Michio Kaku, and Award-Winning Contemporary Architect and Urban Developer Ole Scheeren. ISE 2018’s opening address will be given by leading MIT Architect, Engineer, Inventor, Educator, and Director Carlo Ratti.

To get steady work as an AV freelancer, you must gain industry knowledge and contacts; ISE 2018 has major opportunities in both those regards.
