Earning Industry Credits

AV University is home to Chief, Da-Lite, and Vaddio training courses, including product certifications and AVIXA credits. Through a variety of learning materials such as how-to videos and product guides, these courses offer expert advice on how to optimize products, from installation techniques to product overviews. While you’ll have access to a number of different courses, participants are free to pick and choose which ones apply most to them, allowing you to fast track through courses you already have and participate in only the ones you need.

Not only are you able to learn about a variety of different products and update your training, but you’ll also earn CTS credits as you move through the courses. Credits range from .25 RUs to 1.25 RUs, helping you keep your certifications updated and on track.

Why It Matters

Having updated credentials is vital for a successful AV freelancer. That’s why training platforms such as AV University are so important. These courses are designed to help individuals get the skills and training they need in order to succeed in an increasingly competitive industry. Not only does it help keep your resume competitive, but it also helps you gain a clear understanding of how to efficiently install, design, and maintain AV products for your clients.

How It Works

If you’re ready to learn with AV University but aren’t sure how the training platform works, here’s everything you need to know before you get started:

First and foremost, you’ll start by signing up online and creating an account with AV University. This is how you’ll gain access to the courses, as well as how you’ll login down the road.

Next, you’ll see your course library—this is where you’ll see all the different available courses. Chief, Da-Lite, and Vaddio product courses and certifications are all available here. Each brand has a number of different courses for their variety of products, so if you’re looking to learn how to install a Chief Freestanding Display Mount, all you have to do is search for the course under the proper product category. You’ll then be redirected to that specific course where you’ll learn about the product through a variety of techniques including expert installation videos.

On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see an achievements tab. This is where you can track your progress, see which credits you’ve earned, and determine which courses you have left to complete. This option will become increasingly helpful as you begin to successfully complete a handful of different courses and gain various certifications.

Easy Certifications and Credits

As mentioned before, earning industry certifications and credits can be tricky. However, with AV University, you’ll be able to work on your own schedule, determine what courses are important to you, and earn industry credits with ease. Getting the skills you need to be a successful AV freelancer has never been so easy.
